It’s not every day we get a machine like this in front of us – a Can-Am Spyder RT, the perfect mix of touring comfort and road presence. With its distinctive three-wheel setup and wide bodywork, this trike demands a specialist approach when it comes to detailing.

We were pleased to welcome this new client, who came to us through a recommendation from Dave Lee at Clean Machine – a true gent and someone who takes his detailing referrals seriously. When he passed this job our way, we knew it had to be done right.

What is a Maintenance Clean?

Our Bike Maintenance Clean is designed for machines that are regularly used but still deserve to look their best. This isn’t just a quick once-over – it’s a methodical clean that targets road grime, brake dust, and general build-up in all the right places. For a large touring trike like the Spyder RT, that means a whole lot of intricate surfaces to cover.

The Process:

✅ Pre-wash and rinse using snow foam to lift loose dirt from fairings, seats and undertrays

✅ Careful agitation with soft brushes around emblems, vents, footboards and wheels

✅ Degreasing around the drivetrain and swingarm, tackling stubborn grease build-up

✅ Safe wash using pH neutral shampoo and microfibre mitts to avoid marring the finish

✅ Drying with plush towels and compressed air to eliminate water from tight spaces

We finished with a light gloss enhancer on painted surfaces and a trim dressing to freshen up plastics and rubbers. The end result? A Spyder that looked well cared for, clean in all the right places, and ready for more road miles.
