Jaguar F-Pace Exterior Detail, Scratch Removal and Mirror Cap Replacement

A Jaguar F-Pace carries a certain presence – sharp lines, athletic proportions, and that unmistakable British luxury. But even premium vehicles show signs of wear over time, especially when daily use and unfortunate scuffs take their toll.

This particular F-Pace came to us in need of an exterior refresh. The owner wanted to restore its premium finish, address some unsightly scratches, and replace a damaged mirror cap. We stepped in to deliver a tailored exterior detail, combining restorative work with a keen eye for finish.

Exterior Detail: Deep Clean, Decontaminate, Enhance

We began with a multi-stage safe wash, including a pre-wash snow foam to loosen dirt and a contact wash using pH-neutral shampoo and plush microfibre mitts. Wheels and arches were thoroughly cleaned, and the paintwork was decontaminated using iron fallout remover and tar remover.

This crucial stage removes bonded contaminants that dull the finish and prepares the surface for any correction or protection work. For a vehicle like the F-Pace, with large panels and metallic flake in the paint, proper prep is everything.

Scratch Removal: Precision Refinement

The boot sill had a noticeable scratch that detracted from the overall appearance. We carried out localised machine polishing using a dual-action polisher and a measured combination of compounds and pads, refining the scratch until it was no longer visible in normal lighting. Colour-matched paint and lacquer were used for a long-term repair.

Our paint depth gauge was used throughout to ensure we stayed within safe correction limits. The result was a smooth, defect-free surface that blended perfectly with the surrounding panels.

Mirror Cap Replacement

A damaged mirror cap is a small thing that makes a big difference to the overall presentation. We sourced and fitted a new OEM replacement, finished in the correct gloss black to match the original design. Fitting was carried out with care to avoid marring the surrounding trim or paintwork.

Final Touches

To finish, we applied a slick, durable paint sealant to enhance gloss and provide short-term protection. Tyres were dressed with long-term tyre serum, glass was cleaned inside and out, and trim was revived to ensure every inch of the exterior looked consistent and refined.

The Result: Luxury Restored

This Jaguar F-Pace now looks every inch the premium SUV it was designed to be. With the scratch gone, the mirror cap restored, and the exterior properly detailed, it’s back to turning heads for all the right reasons.
